Oliver Carcano - Being Balanced

Zuppa Toscana (Tuscan Soup)

Soup has a special effect on the psyche. It is both comforting, healing and provides a warm cozy feeling (literally!). There are many kinds of soups with many different flavors and variations. Here is a traditional Tuscan soup with sausage in it. This recipe will take about an hour.

  • You will need the following ingredients.
  • `1/3 of a cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 1, 16-ounce package of smoked sausage
  • 1 quart of water
  • Two potatoes cut into 1/4 –inch sized slices
  • Two tablespoons of chicken bouillon
  • ¾ cups of chopped onion
  • 2 cups of kale-washed, shredded, and dried
  • 1 ½ teaspoons of minced garlic
  • Six slices of bacon

First, preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit or 150 degrees Celsius. Next, layer the sausage links on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes. Once the sausages are done, cut them in half and then cut them in ½ inch angled slices.

Cook the bacon and onions together in a large pan over medium heat until the onions are almost transparent. Take the bacon out of the pan and crumble it into pieces. Set the bacon crumbles bits aside for later.

Add garlic to the onions that are still in the pan and cook both for another minute. Add the water, potatoes and chicken bouillon to the pan and cook at a simmer for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, add the bacon bits, sliced sausage, kale, and whipped cream and simmer in four another 4 minutes. After those 4 minutes, your Tuscan soup is ready

Oliver Carcano - EPA Certification

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has mandated an established program that requires all appliance repair technicians to become EPA Certified if repairing, maintaining, replacing, servicing, or disposing of components and appliances that contain refrigerant chemicals.

Refrigerant chemicals are usually a fluid mixture that is used to in a heat pump and refrigeration cycle. Refrigerants go through phases in the refrigerant cycle that alters the liquid to a gas. Common components of refrigerants include sulfur dioxide, ammonia, and non-halogenated hydrocarbons like propane.

Refrigerants used in the 20th century such as halons and chlorofluorocarbons were excellent choices as refrigerants because they were not flammable and weren’t toxic. However, they were poor for the stability of the atmosphere, assisted in ozone depletion and global warming. Ammonia and Propane are less corrosive to the environment but if released are toxic and flammable. Currently, new refrigerants have been developed that are environmentally friendly, but their use is being held up because of concerns regarding toxicity and flammability.

There are four types of EPA technician certifications. Type 1 is for servicing small appliances, Type II is for servicing high to very high-pressure appliances, Type II is for servicing low-pressure appliances and the Universal Certification is for servicing all types of appliances. To obtain the certification, you must pass a closed-book test that consists of 25 questions covering recycling procedures and 25 questions regarding EPA regulations.

Oliver Carcano - A Good Diet

Oliver Carcano is a professional appliance repair and air conditioning contractor and business owner whose business philosophies have caused him to experience much success over the last several years. He says that you can always tell a good business by how well it is taken care of, something that applies equally to people as well. He says that just like a business, a person is only as good as the things inside that make it up. He says that the cells in your body are very similar to employees in a business. The cells work for you to help make not only themselves healthier, but the overall state of your body as well. He says that if you run with this metaphor, which makes you the manager of your cells, and that in order for them to function optimally, they require proper guidance. He says that in this case that guidance and management is proper nutrition. Much like a business, the employees cannot work if the atmosphere is not conducive to productivity. Your body's cells are much the same, as they require the proper nutrients that come from a well-balanced and all natural diet.

Oliver Carcano says that in order to provide you cells with proper nutrients so that they can perform optimally is to steer away from processed foods. He says that the processing procedure that many foods undergo strips them of vital nutrients that your body needs, which is why you should stick with all natural, organic whole foods to provide the most wholesome and complete nutrition. He says that this is especially important when you consume meat, as many meats are pumped full of dangerous steroids and antibiotics.

Oliver Carcano - Fond of Nature

Oliver Carcano is a very dedicated man, someone who is passionate about his career, and perseveres to be simply the best in the industry. Oliver however can not be solely defined by his career in appliance repair and air conditioning and his business though, as he has many interests and hobbies outside of work that help contribute to who he is as a person. One of his many interesting hobbies is hiking. Oliver has a love for outdoors that is second to no one. He says that there are few things in this life better than standing on a craggy cliff face soaking under a mellow, warm sun slowly drifting in a sapphire sky. He says he loves the scent of the forest as it wafts by on a spring breeze, loves to watch the animals frolic and play, to hear the gurgling of a stream as it rushes down the cliff face. He says that not only is hiking great for your body, it is also therapy for your mind and spirit as well. He says that too often people forget about the fact that man is so connected with nature, and don't spend enough time in it. He says nature is important, and a fundamental part of human history, which is why everyone should take a little time out of their day to go appreciate it.

Oliver Carcano says that he loves the outdoors for many reasons, but mostly because it offers an escape from the real world into the mysterious and the unknown. He is the kind of guy that craves adventure, and says nothing offers it quite as well as the outdoors. He only wishes that more people would get intimate with nature and all its wonders.

Oliver Carcano - Good Design

Oliver Carcano isn't just a professional a/c plus appliance repair technician and business owner, but is also an artist of sorts. He says that his business is not just your average commercial contractor. An experienced and highly qualified professional doesn’t just put together cookie-cutter pre-assembled systems, slapping them together as quickly as possible. Rick says that his company is focused on architecture and art as well, exploring functionality as well as form.

That is why both he and his company are interested in engineering and structural design, and have completed several projects all the way from the concept, to the design, to the construction phase. He says that this requires several stages and many professionals to accomplish a singular vision. He says that artists, architects, and engineers are needed in order to complete each necessary facet of a structural design project. He says that this not only takes time, but clear communication among each member of the team to assure that they are all on the same page and heading in the same direction. He says these projects are often the most difficult, but also the most rewarding when you get to witness the final product, which started as nothing more than an idea.

Oliver Carcano says that structural design and engineering is only one of the many different services his company provides, but that it is his personal favorite, and the most engaging. He says that creating a system from the ground up, including the schematics demonstrates the level of professionalism and skill that his crew and company possesses. He says that in the future he only hopes that his company will continue to grow and expand its base of knowledge to undertake more challenging projects.
